This is Mdina, in the middle of Malta.
Known as the Silent City, as few cars and other vehicles are allowed.
I found a new favourite restaurant here, which will be added to my online reviews shortly!
My favourite local restaurant, where the whole family eats each Tuesday.
See here for my worldwide hotel, airport lounges and restaurant reviews.
I’m the world’s fussiest eater, so if I recommend a restaurant, you can safely go and be assured of top quality food and service!
Actually, I’m pretty fussy on hotels and airport lounges, too, so do take notice of those I recommend!
We finally moved into our permanent home today, after over 4 months of builders, designers, electricians and goodness knows who else!
The carefully chosen kitchen lights were suddenly not available, so we’ve had some temporary ones installed and will look elsewhere.
We’re awaiting a few minor things, like a kitchen bin (!), but Onkyo have given the cinema sound system, all 21kgs of it, to the couriers today, so it will arrive on Wednesday.
In the meantime mum and Lisa took a 7pm swim to relax after a day of putting things in kitchen cupboards!
(For those who don’t know, we now live in a brand new home, in a private estate built around an old British Fort on a tiny island in the Mediterranean Sea – the houses are designed to look like the old Fort buildings, which are being beautifully restored. Despite living very rurally, we also have 200mb internet, which will increase to 500mb this month, some of the fastest internet in the world. Low taxes completed the “where shall we live” equation! Lisa’s mum and Grannie live next door, too!).
